Saved configuration

Privacy Thing stores Regional Presets, rules, and settings in the browser's local extension storage, so no account is required. This configuration is not synchronized between browsers.

X-Ray activity

X-Ray activity stays in memory for one tab.

Privacy Thing clears it on a top-level navigation. Closing the tab also ends that activity record.

Optional debug logs

Debug logs are separate from X-Ray and are created only while Debug Mode is enabled. They stay in extension session storage and are not sent to a Privacy Thing analytics server.

Move your settings

You can save the configuration to a file and load it in another installation.
