Trusted Sites
Turn Privacy Thing off for selected hosts without deleting configuration.
What Trusted Sites do
A matching entry in Trusted Sites turns Privacy Thing off for that host.
An entry does not delete presets, rules, or other settings.
Available patterns
example.com— the exact host only,*example.com— the exact host and all of its subdomains,*.example.com— subdomains only.
When entries overlap, the most specific pattern wins. Check the hostname inspector before saving.
Add a Trusted Site
- Open Trusted Sites.
- Add an exact host or a pattern.
- Check the hostname inspector.
- Save the entry.
- Reload the site.
Priority
A matching Trusted Site takes priority over a Domain Rule, Firefox Container, and the Default Rule.
A disabled entry remains saved but does not affect matching.
Turn protection on again
Disable or remove the Trusted Sites entry. Then reload the site.
Privacy Thing then resolves the host through Domain Rules, Firefox Containers, and the Default Rule.
